Collection: Kathy de Cano

Kathy de Cano has expressed herself visually since an early age. She works in mixed media and acrylics, with styles ranging from abstract to expressionistic to impressionistic, and she has participated in several mural projects. Her travels and love of nature, textures, and color influence her work.

Kathy is a member of the North Gwinnett Arts Association in Suwanee and Norcross Gallery in Norcross. Her studio is at Expressions Fine Art Gallery in Lawrenceville. She has exhibited in Bryson City, North Carolina, and Sandy Springs, Suwanee, Johns Creek, Sugar Hill, Lawrenceville, and Norcross, all in Georgia. In February of 2020, she was the featured artist at the Suwanee Arts Center in Suwanee.

"My hope is that my art will bring joy or reflection to the viewers. I paint with a great deal of love and passion, infusing my heart and spirit into each piece. Each work is a source of personal expression as well as deep learning for me. My journey has been marked by it, from my first scribblings as a small child to the drawings and paintings that I have been inspired to do throughout most of my life."

Fun Fact: Kathy speaks both Spanish and English fluently and has taught on The Learning Channel as a Spanish teacher for young children.
